Freyssinet Australia has been awarded a major wharf rehabilitation project in Sydney for an Oil & Gas company. This project is being performed by our in-house operation team and would need to be completed in 3 years.
The project involves concrete repairs, Cathodic Protection and provision of access.
We are looking for an experience Project Manager who will be able to manage a crew of several Project Engineers, supervisors and labours. It is also important for that Project Manager to be very familiar with cost control, forecasting, safety, program and attention to details.
While you will be managing the team, you will need to go into details with Project Engineers and perform some of the works yourself such as JSA, Risk assessments, program and forecasting.
Duties and expectations include:
Reporting to the NSW Management team you will be responsible for providing the vision and leadership to ensure all project resources remain focused and effective
•Demonstrate a personal & visible commitment to Safety culture & management
•Able to follow and implement systems
•Very strong with cost control and forecasting
•Good negotiation skills with client
•Develop & review construction planning and track progress to time, cost & quality
•Manage the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
•Ensure subcontractors understand the scope of work assigned and their contractual obligations
•Report to Senior Management any event which may significantly change the project forecast
•Liaise and present updates to Project Stakeholders
•Foster client relationships and build reputation
The ideal condidate would need to have around 10 years experience with some solid site Project Manager experience. Experience with main contractor will be preferable.
