We are seeking an experienced and professional Site Supervisor to oversee the daily delivery of safe, high quality and on-time remedial construction projects.
The role will initially be based in Sydney with travel and possible relocation to Newcastle as work requires.
In this role you will:
•Take the lead role in the day-to-day management of on-site safety, including monitoring of site safety, completion of safety administration and a proactive approach to safety practices and rectification when required.
•Manage the project from handover to completion with support from your Project Engineer and Construction Manager.
•Manage the day-to-day site activity to the site programme and comply with Freyssinet Safety systems.
•Run the business processes relating to labour, overtime, small tools, hire equipment.
•Manage the day-to-day activity of subcontractors and site labour to the project plan, project drawings and specifications.
•Ensure high level of communication and teamwork through direct communications and on-site meetings.
•Role is mainly working and hands on supervisor.
•Liaise directly with all stakeholders including clients, consultants, and management.
To be successful in this role you will have:
•Experience in site supervision of remedial construction projects is essential (including planning, programming and the management of subcontractors and site labour).
•A strong focus on delivering a quality product and a safe work environment.
•A high level of experience in concrete repair, liquid and sheet membranes, joint sealants, grouts and protective coating application.
•Experience in using various plant and access equipment.
•Understanding of tasks and activities of a wide variety of building trades.
•In-depth knowledge of legislation, rules, regulations and standards relating to building sites (e.g. industrial relations, WHS and Environmental, Workcover, local government etc.
•Previous experience with leading a team 5-10 employees or subcontractors.
•Computer literacy with email, internet and word.
•Professional attitude towards dealing with demanding clients.
The successful candidate will hold relevant industry tickets (confined space, working at heights, EWP over 11 mtrs and rigging or dogging etc).
Carpentry experience would be highly regarded.
