We believe in building better together. Are you ready to be part of the change and drive our growth?
For over 50 years, HEB Construction, our New Zealand subsidiary, has shaped how people live, work, and travel. They build roads, bridges, tunnels, ports, walkways, wastewater systems, and playgrounds to improve lives nationwide. Collaboration is key — they foster trust-based partnerships where every voice matters. By listening, engaging, and empowering people, they consistently deliver innovative, high-quality results.
HEB is currently undertaking a global digital transformation across all its agencies in New Zealand, to keep optimizing its digital tools and processes, enabling operational excellence, enhancing project delivery, and aligning business systems with strategic objectives.
That’s why we are looking for a Digital Transformation Coordinator VIE (F/M) who will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of those digital systems that drive operational excellence and innovation.
Does it feel like a mission you would be ready to take on? Keep reading!
What can you expect as a Digital Transformation Coordinator @HEB Construction?
Based in Auckland, your work will focus on creating best-in-class processes and digital tools, ensuring consistency, and supporting HEB’s strategic vision. You’ll collaborate with end-user groups and management to adapt and enhance our suite of applications, enabling better project delivery and business management outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will revolve around 3 axes:
Reporting & Data Analytics:
- Support the deployment and adaptation of SAP-based solutions and associated tools.
- Enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting processes, including reports & dashboard development for KPI’s which include but not limited to, financial & project performance, planning vs. recovery analysis, and sustainability reporting.
- Translate business requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring seamless integration with current workflows.
Co-ordination & Support:
- Liaise with stakeholders across multiple business units to consolidate and align input for strategic projects.
- Develop analysis methods and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to business needs.
- Refine system processes to ensure compatibility with global standards and operational goals.
- Consolidate, analyse, and resolve incident and service request tickets, ensuring timely responses and identifying trends to implement preventative solutions.
Onboarding & Training:
- Actively engage with end-users to gather feedback, address barriers, and refine processes for optimal usage.
- Provide content for tailored training programs and create user-centric support materials to drive system adoption and competency.
- Support the onboarding process for new users, ensuring a structured and efficient transition to competence.
What about you?
You like what you’re reading and are wondering what would be needed to succeed?
Here are a few tips. According to our hiring manager:
- You are an Engineer, Computer Science or Business School graduate, or a related field.
- To help you take on your first missions and feel at ease with the assignments, you understand and have a first initial experience in digital systems implementation, project coordination, or IT solutions.
- The role involves working with large sets of data. Strong analytical skills will help in interpreting data, identifying trends, and ensuring accurate reporting. A mastery of Excel is needed, and a familiarity with SAP functionality to customise and leverage reports to meet business needs.
- You are proud of your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret data and translate it into actionable solutions.
- You’ll be collaborating across diverse teams, and you’ll need all the support you can get. Thanks to your curiosity and your sociability, you’ll quickly adapt and be integrated.
- Your everyday life will be in English: as such, you need to feel confident enough about your English level, in terms of writing but also speaking.
- You have your driving license to help you navigate between the different sites and projects you’ll be supporting.

Why should you join @HEB Construction and @VINCI Construction as a VIE?
We’ll give you three reasons why this opportunity might be perfect for you:
- You're starting your career – Looking for assignments that teach you something new every day?
Thanks to a VIE, what looks like 2 years on a resume is actually worth 5 years of experience.
Vincent, working in Alberta, says: “I'm learning so much about different roles and how to manage a construction company, not just a project. I wouldn’t have had this chance in France at 28.”
But if you’re uncomfortable stepping out of your comfort zone, this might not be for you.
- You need mentors to grow – Looking for a supportive work environment?
You’ll have experienced professionals guiding you and be part of Young Talents @VINCI Construction, a strong peer network.
Charles in Alberta shares: “My team welcomed me from day one, and my manager ensures I progress every day.”
But if you prefer working solo and don’t enjoy teamwork, this might not be the right fit.
- You are looking for an environment which will keep you on your toes, make you wonder what’s the next challenge ahead?
Considered as a fully-fledged member of the HEB Construction Environment team, you handle your own projects: it’s your call, your responsibility.
Caroline, now on a local contract, says: “If I want more, they give me more.”
But if you enjoy a well-oiled routine, you might feel uncomfortable with us.
