In line with the environmental ambitions of VINCI Group and Soletanche Freyssinet, Terre Armée and its American business unit The Reinforced Earth Company (RECo), are actively working towards implementing concrete actions to reduce carbon emissions, optimize the use of resource and preserve natural environments.

We are looking for an Environmental Coordinator VIE (F/M) who will join the dynamic QSE team to tackle Scope 3 ambitions and EPD Management.

What can you expect as an Environmental Coordinator @RECo ? 

As an Environmental Coordinator for RECo, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainability goals.
Your key responsibilities include:

Assessing Carbon Footprint (Scope 3)

  • Collaborate with our manufacturing plants to gather and analyze data related to indirect emissions, focusing on understanding and reducing the carbon footprint across our supply chain.

Lifecycle Analysis and Environmental Product Declarations Management :

  • Drive the development and completion of EPD for three key products, including concrete design, Geostrap and steel tie strips.
  • Manage the lifecycle assessment process, ensuring alignment with industry standards and delivering verified EPDs.
  • Study and integrate new solutions into the impact analysis tool.

Consolidation of Non-Financial Indicators:

  • Consolidate extra-financial indicators for RECo (CSRD, KPIs, Reporting).
  • Strengthen expertise in analyzing the environmental and economic impacts of RECo's solutions and best practices.

Sustainability Reporting & Compliance

  • Participate in environmental checks, inspections, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations while supporting the continuous improvement of our sustainability initiatives through accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental authorization conditions and requirements.

Project Support:

  • Assist project managers and manufacturing facility managers in meeting environmental requirements.
  • Manage environmental aspects related to manufacturing operations and construction projects.

Methodology Appropriation:

  • Organize training and workshops to promote the adoption of impact analysis methodology within the Group.
  • Create a catalog of solutions and best practices.

Profile

What about you?

You’ll be a great fit if: 

  • You are an engineering school or university graduate, with a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards, particularly ISO14001. A first experience in carbon footprint and life cycle analysis is a plus.
  • You’re looking for assignments that give you a sense of responsibility and high autonomy. 
  • You can define yourself through a methodical and analytical mind, and strong interpersonal skills such as open-mindedness, curiosity, and most of all, a tenacious can-do attitude!
  • You’re looking forward to being part of a team where you’ll be keen to learn and face new challenges together.
  • You show an international mindset which will allow you to enjoy what the USA can offer to the fullest.
  • You speak fluent English.
  • You have your driving license.  

Quick Reminder about the VIE program:

The VIE program requires you to: 

  • Be a European citizen aged between 18 and 28 on the date of registration, whatever training level.  
  • Be a graduate student, with a fluent level in English.  
  • Have never done any V.I.E. in the past. 
  • Not have worked previously in the host country.
