Description of the assignment
The Role
The position of Design Draftsman is responsible for translating engineering designs in to detailed engineering and technical drawings. Design Draftsmen work closely with the engineering team ensuring project delivery is supported by high quality technical drawings and specifications.
Profile
Key Deliverables
- Translate engineering designs in to technical drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with Australian Standards.
- Detail product, material and other specifications.
- Utilize CAD and other design software to produce drawings.
- Work closely with the Engineering team, seeking clarification where needed.
- Provide input and calculations for costing and estimates.
- Keep up to date on drafting standards and techniques.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Exceptional time management skills with ability to maintain deadlines.
- Extensive CAD experience and other 3D design software
- Experience in RMS drawing standard
