Join us on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects – Sizewell C. As part of the Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA), Bachy Soletanche plays a vital role in preparing the ground for construction, using advanced techniques such as piling, diaphragm walling, soil mixing, and grouting. This is your opportunity to be part of a collaborative team delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

Bachy Soletanche are currently recruiting for Estimators, to join our Commercial team on one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK.

Profile

About the role:

Working as part of our Projects division, we are looking for experienced Estimators to join our Suffolk-based Team, across pre-construction and change. You’ll work closely with our Sizewell project team to develop Target Prices for geotechnical works and support Bachy Soletanche in securing future opportunities. This role is pivotal in shaping successful tender submissions and driving strategic growth across our Projects division.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming enquiries and assess tender opportunities.
  • Develop bid/win strategies tailored to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to prepare cost studies and value engineering proposals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during pre-construction and change.
  • Prepare and present tender offers, engaging in client negotiations through to contract award.
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM and support business development initiatives.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (professional qualification preferred).
  • Experience in the UK geotechnical industry and estimating geotechnical solutions (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical design processes.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

 It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Working knowledge of Candy
