We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Project Operations teams, in Sydney. If you enjoy working on technically challenging projects and like to work around existing infrastructure, we would want to hear from you.

Profile

Day to day tasks include:

  • Organisation and coordination of construction activities in accordance with construction schedules, such as:
    • Installation of Water / Wastewater pipes
    • Manhole construction
    • Excavation and installation of shoring for construction of structures
    • Finishing work, landscaping and restoration
    • Microtunnelling activities open cut works
  • Manage construction workers and subcontractors to ensure budget, program, safety, environmental and quality requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Regular inspections of works
  • Procurement and management of required plant, equipment and materials for allocated projects ensuring cost control is maintained
  • Management specific trades including Plant Operations and Poly Welders On-Site
  • Facilitate daily pre-starts and contribute to weekly Toolbox Talks
  • Provide advice to all stakeholders on applicable legislations, codes of practice and all conditions set out in the contractual documents to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with Clients and Community
  • Contribute to progress reports and relevant documentation to management and clients.
  • Technical assistance to site staff and subcontractors (including interpretation of engineering documents and drawings)
  • Completion of Quality Documentation required for construction verification
  • Notify the Project Manager of any possible variations
  • Identification, implementation, promotion and management of safe work methods and environmental awareness.
  • Maintain industry standards and ensure that the latest industry developments are reviewed for implementation if relevant.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years onsite experience as a Site Supervisor
  • Project Delivery experience in the installation of Water and Wastewater Pipelines, Deep Sewers and precast concrete structures
  • Demonstrated experience in civil construction, concrete construction
  • Preferably experience in micro-tunneling
  • Previous experience managing a construction workforce
  • Have a Construction Induction OHS White Card
  • Be focused on Safety, Quality the Environment and Productivity
  • Be reliable and committed
