Description of the assignment

To support our continued growth in the UK, we are seeking a Graduate Business Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) to join our team in Camberley.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to contribute to the development of innovative ground engineering solutions across a wide range of industries – including infrastructure, residential and commercial. The successful candidate will assist in securing new work through high-quality technical submissions and support the delivery of a design-build projects during construction. Providing an opportunity to gain exposure and be involved in a variety of real-world applications and project environments.

Key Tasks

  • Participate in and/or lead the bid process, ensuring timely and effective delivery of tender documentation.
  • Support senior engineers in reviewing tender documents (drawings, specifications, site investigations, etc.) and evaluating submission requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of preliminary ground improvement designs and design documents during the pre-construction phase
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide considered responses to post-tender queries and project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and identify project risks.
  • Ensure the correct methods, outputs and plant/resources are selected to deliver the solution, assisting the senior engineer to verify that project risks are adequately addressed.
  • Coordinate the preparation of tender price schedules aligned with pricing strategies and risk assessments.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of commercial pipeline through CRM (Salesforce). 
  • Support the handover of bid documentation and strategy to operational and commercial teams.
  • Participate in customer meetings and present tender proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with business strategy and authority levels.
  • Support delivery teams by reviewing pre-construction and technical information, including site visits and client meetings.
  • Pursue continuous learning in ground engineering and stay updated with the latest technologies and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of our marketing material including brochures, websites and data sheets.
  • Organise and attend corporate events.
  • Promote a strong safety culture – WORKSAFE HOMESAFE – and uphold high environmental standards (LESS IS MORE MENARD).

Profile

A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.

Some experience or academic exposure to ground engineering processes is desirable.

A customer-centric mindset with a flexible and innovative approach.

Strategic and creative thinking to identify opportunities and challenge conventional methods.

Strong attention to detail and the confidence to advise senior management when necessary.

Willingness to gain hands-on experience on-site as part of training and development.

A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-focused solutions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

A full UK driving licence is required.
